In collaboration with local indigenous communities, traditional and local municipal leaders, the success of this project, will depend on the expertise and cooperative efforts of a consortium of organizations and individuals.

Victor Udo, FNSE, PhD

Chairman/CEO

As native of Nigeria and the Niger Delta in particular, Dr. Udo has a personal passion and deep sense of responsibility to make a difference in West Africa. Born in a very rural area in Obot Akara and growing up in Calabar, Cross River State, Victor knows and understands firsthand the problems faced by his people. When he returned from the United States to Nigeria between 2011 and 2019, he produced and hosted a radio and TV show to help focus his people on self-sufficiency and equitable sustainable development. 

Theresa Cusimano, J.D.

StartUp Operating Officer

Theresa was recognized by the faculty of her graduating law school class at the State University of New York for her outstanding commitment to public interest. Over her thirty year career in advancing the common good, she’s gone on to raise $30 Million for campus and community partnerships that address society’s unmet needs, earning awards for her advocacy advancing sustainable solutions through inclusion.

Dr. Stephen K. Appiah-Paddi

Vice-Chairman

As Vice-Chairman of ADC, Dr. Appiah-Padi brings vast experience in working with students and faculty, establishing and leading administrative offices, and managing several projects across different types of educational institutions including Ghana. Dr. Appiah-Padi is an experienced global education practitioner-scholar, highly skilled international education leader, mentor, and coach with decades of teaching and administrative experience in both 4 and 2-year higher education institutions, globally.

Christian Mboho

Executive Director, Finance and Admin

Christian is also native to Nigeria bringing infrastructure, finance, business and deep community networks to bear in cultivating Cross River’s potential for sustainable economic and environmental development. With over two and a half decades of experience, Chris is a talented manager of people, projects and budgets utilizing effective planning and organizational skills.

Stephen Akpan

Executive Director, Operations

Born in Nigeria, Steve is a Banker, Administrator, Strategic Thinker, Boardroom Guru, Project Developer and a Community Leader. Steve served as a member of Nigeria’s delegation to the U.N. General Assembly in NY for the adoption of the SDGs framework in 2014 and a Member of Nigeria’s Delegation to the U.N. 2012 for the presentation of Nigeria’s final report on MDGs.  Education.
